Planning a Disney Trip with a Special Diet: The Special Diets Department

So now that you’re familiar with a little basic Disney trip pre-planning, the next step is to contact the Special Diets calling special diets at WDWDepartment.

At Disney World, dealing with Special Diets is truly an area of their expertise! Chefs can offer substitutes and food options so it makes it easy (and delicious) to dine safely. They can easily accommodate the top 8 allergens, as well as corn and other special diets, such as low sugar, low fat, low sodium, PKU, metabolic disorders, other food allergies, and vegetarian/vegan.

However, the best way to receive these perks are to first do you research, then contact the Special Diets Department. They have a wealth of information at their fingertips and can give you the low down on options available and where to get them. Even better, they’ll send along your dietary requests to the chefs at the locations where you’ve booked your ADRs, so you’ll have nothing to be concerned about.

The Special Diets Department recommends that you email them about 2 weeks before your trip, that way, your reservation is fresh in the mind of the chefs and they can help make your meal just that much more magical. They can be contacted at Special.Diets@Disneyworld.com.

What about cross-contamination?

No need to worry at WDW! They go to great lengths to ensure that you can dine safely. Our next post will talk about the chefs at Disney and the magic that they create!
